Textures is an organization that focuses on educating and building a community on campus around various hair types. This organization is catered toward women of color to become more confident wearing their hair as well as learning how to embrace and take proper care of their kinks & curls.
GoGirl is a group for young women who find it difficult to reach their goals. They are brought together by learning the importance of goal setting, execution and community through Jesus Christ. GOgirl was born to motivate them into action.
Sister Circle’s mission is to support the personal, social, cultural and professional development of women of color at Kent State University. The vision is to build a community and empower women of color to thrive. As the motto says, “I am a Women of Excellence, and so is my Sister!”
National Association of Colored Women’s Club are women of color dedicated to uplifting women, children, families, the home and the community through service, community education, scholarship assistance and the promotion of racial harmony among all people, so that those they serve are better able to take their proper and rightful place in society as citizens, community leaders, parents, and family members.
