IGNITE KSU
MTAB is a community for survivors established to bring awareness and support to survivors of sexual abuse and assault, as well as survivors of all kinds.The project is organized to create an open and loving community where survivors, women, and all people regardless of how they identify who have ever been made to feel as only a body can start to feel and understand that they are so much more.
AAUW at Kent State University is a campus chapter of a much larger organization that has been advocating on behalf of gender equity within policymaking since 1881. We are intersectional in our beliefs and believe that all are welcome to the table when it comes to discussing equality. AAUW at KSU's goal is to contribute to the global effort of advancing equity through volunteer work, advocacy on campus, and discussing subjects like education, civil rights, leadership, and representation in our meetings.
Kent State for Malala is a service organization dedicated to helping children locally and globally access education. They advocate for educational access through different activities like contests and participating in on-campus events.
IGNITE is an organization on campus that encourages young women to actively engage in the political process and assert and demonstrate their beliefs in the public arena. IGNITE implements guiding values and principles such as encouraging women to advocate for issues they care about and actively listening to all perspectives. IGNITE does not take positions on individual issues, rather they welcome and supports all young women to determine which issues are important to them and where they sit on the political spectrum.
A group of passionate KSU students who want to ensure the access of essential reproductive and sexual health care to all, including abortion care. PPAKSU strives to protect Planned Parenthood's clinic and promote the seeking of reproductive health care as a normal aspect of life. We also serve as a safe space on campus for students to discuss and gain more education on various topics surrounding healthcare, sexuality, and the politics surrounding them.
